What Is a PRF Liquid Facelift?
A PRF liquid facelift is a non-surgical facial rejuvenation treatment that uses a patient’s own blood to address facial concerns. Concentrated PRF, or platelet-rich fibrin, is injected into the face. This treatment can be used from brow to chin, but injections are often concentrated in the under-eye area, cheeks, nasal labial folds and jawline.
PRF is often considered the next generation of PRP, platelet-rich plasma, treatments. To obtain PRF, blood is centrifuged at slower speeds and without an anti-coagulant. This specialized processing method creates a thicker, gel-like product that is rich in platelets, stem cells, fibrin, and growth factors. The thicker consistency of PRF helps it to remain in the treatment areas, providing longer-lasting results and volume. PRF is injected into the face where it supports healing and regeneration.

What to Expect from Your PRF Liquid Facelift
The PRF liquid facelift is performed in two stages. First, a few vials of blood are extracted. The extraction process is similar to getting your blood drawn for lab tests. We don’t need to extract a lot of blood, usually just 2-3 vials for a full-face treatment.
The extracted blood is placed in a centrifuge (a machine that spins rapidly) to concentrate the PRF. While you wait, a topical numbing cream is applied to the face to make the injections more comfortable.
When the PRF is ready, it is injected into the face.
Your treatment will take 30 minutes, depending on the area of the face receiving treatment. Plan on spending a little additional time with us as we prepare your PRF and wait for the numbing cream to take effect.
When your treatment is finished, you can immediately return to work or other daily activities although your face may be slightly red temporarily.

Frequently Asked Questions About the PRF Liquid Facelift at Keys Med Spa
To ensure that you receive accurate pricing information for your procedure, we will provide a detailed quote before your first treatment. Pricing for the PRF liquid facelift depends upon the size of the treatment area and the number of treatments needed.
You’ll see results after your very first treatment, but Dr. Peterson will often recommend a series of 3 PRF injections, to achieve optimal results.
Enhance the results of your PRF liquid facelift with other treatments from our medical spa. For facial rejuvenation, many patients choose to pair their liquid facelift with Botox®. Botox® relaxes facial muscles that cause expression lines and can complement a PRF facelift by smoothing wrinkles around the eyes and brows. Dermal fillers can also augment results by adding volume to areas like the cheeks or nasal labial folds.
Patients often start to see changes after their first treatment, but these early changes are subtle. Wait until you’ve completed your full treatment course to see the dramatic transformation that is possible with a PRF liquid facelift at Keys Med Spa.
Safety is important to Dr. Peterson and the team at Keys Med Spa. Each treatment we offer is carefully evaluated for safety and effectiveness. The PRF liquid facelift is a very safe procedure. The PRF used in the treatment is harvested from each patient’s own blood. Side effects are minimal, and most patients require no downtime.
A PRF liquid facelift offers many of the same benefits that patients experience from dermal fillers and other facial treatments. Some patients choose this treatment instead of fillers while others use PRF as a complement to their filler treatments. Customized treatment is essential to the exceptional results that keep patients returning to Keys Med Spa. We’ll talk with you about your goals and work together to create your unique treatment plan. For many patients, PRF will serve as a valuable tool toward achieving their aesthetic goals, on its own or paired with our other facial treatments.
